sinn3r 5092152949 Fix the broken reload_modules method
When using the reload_all command, the framework will trigger an
'undefined method module_history' error, because we're missing
an accessor.

Also, even though reload_modules returns "counts". That actually
returns a hash instead of a real count of modules... the return
value is also never actually used anywhere. But to make this
part not broken, we return the actual count.

sinn3r 807142e988 'Size' may not exist in certain PDF structure.
This is a fix for issues related to:
'undefined method `[]' for nil:NilClass'

It is possible that a PDF may not have the 'Size' xref, and people
are running into the 'undefined method'[]' for NilClass' exception.
Because the pdf parser always assumes there is a Size field,
so it uses a match() function to find the value for Size, which
can be nil.

James Lee 6913440d67 More progress on syscall wrappers
Something is still broken, my socket() is returning EAFNOSUPPORT whereas
what looks like the same syscall in wunderbar_emporium's exploit.c is
returning a socket. Similarly, my __mmap2() is returning EFAULT when
trying to map anything, not just NULL.

James Lee fd8b1636b9 Add the first bits of a sock_sendpage exploit
This can currently build an executable that creates a socket, opens a
temporary file, truncates that file with ftruncate(2) and calls
sendfile. Still needs to mmap NULL and figure out ring0 shellcode.

Baby steps.

    I'm pretty sure the way I did it in the handlers (Rex::Socket::tcp_socket_pair())

HD Moore 7c8cb2d79e Add vuln_attempts, track exploit attempts when a matching vuln exists.
This also fixes an issue with report_vuln() from exploited hosts not
setting the service correctly. This introduces a fail_reason method
to the exploit base class, which attempts to determine why an exploit
did not work (closed port, unreachable host, missing page, etc). There
is still quite a bit of work to do around this to finish it up.

James Lee 1be9ce8649 Fixes command parsing in Post::Common
The meterpreter API wants arguments in a seperate string (not an array,
mind you) just so it can concatenate them on the server side.
Originally, I worked around that by using Shellwords.shellwords to pull
out the first token. But! Shellwords.shellwords inexplicably and
inexcusably removes backslashes in ways that make it impossible to quote
things on Windows. This commit works around both of those things.

Tod Beardsley 7811b0a3fd Landing sempervictus's Powershell features
Adding the payload generator, but not the post module -- couldn't get a
satisfactory test out of the module (see the comments on #251).

Please open a new request with the post module and a test scenario, like
a sample script or something to drop into /scripts/powershell.

I like the powershell stuff a lot; I imagine it's a popular set of
tools on high-value targets, like workstations of IT people.

All Database usage must go through framework.db (which should have been
the case before, anyways) or explicitly checkout and checkin a
connection. Failure to do so causes thread starvation and bizarre
random failures when attempting to use the database.

This commit also explicitly releases database connections at the end of
all threads created via framework.threads.spawn, which should alleviate
Deprecation Warning messages from ActiveRecord.

Tod Beardsley 4bcbdc54c9 Cutting over rails3 to master.
This switches the Metasploit Framework to a Rails 3 backend. If you run
into new problems (especially around Active Record or your postgresql
gem) you should try first updating your Ruby installation to 1.9.3 and
use a more recent 'pg' gem.

If that fails, we'd love to see your bug report (just drop all the
detail you can into an issue on GitHub). In the meantime, you can
checkout the rails2 branch, which was branched from master immediately
before this cutover.

    Merge branch 'master-clone' into rails3-clone

    Conflicts:
    	lib/msf/core/handler/reverse_http.rb
    	lib/msf/core/handler/reverse_https.rb
    	modules/auxiliary/scanner/discovery/udp_probe.rb
    	modules/auxiliary/scanner/discovery/udp_sweep.rb

    Resolved conflicts with the reverse_http handlers and the udp probe /
    scanners byt favoring the more recent changes (which happened to be the
    intent anyway). The reverse_http and reverse_https changes were mine so
    I know what the intent was, and @dmaloney-r7 changed udp_probe and
    udp_sweep to use pcAnywhere_stat instead of merely pcAnywhere, so the
    intent is clear there as well.

Since staged payloads end up with an array of architectures, this was
failing to find a cpu and causing uncaught exceptions that crashed

This time, it's ensured that generate_uri_checksum(sum) will succeed,
provided the sum is an even number between 80 and 100 (tested)

It's still not great for arbitrary checksum targets, but that's because
there are lots of strings that cannot satisfy the requirement. I kind of
think this is the fault of Rex.

Also some tests for doing so, all of which pass on Linux, Windows, and

will fail miserably on Windows shell sessions.

Tod Beardsley de888e50f0 Adding a cleaner RuntimeError to target_uri
The purpose of re-raising an error from a library method like this is to
tell the user in no uncertain terms what all actually went wrong with the
module. This fix will cause a somewhat more pleasant error message than
the default message. Here's the raise from URI:

```
[-] Auxiliary failed: URI::InvalidURIError bad URI(is not URI?): what%ever
[-] Call stack:
[-]   /home/todb/.rvm/rubies/ruby-1.9.1-p378/lib/ruby/1.9.1/uri/common.rb:156:in `split'
[-]   /home/todb/.rvm/rubies/ruby-1.9.1-p378/lib/ruby/1.9.1/uri/common.rb:174:in `parse'
[-]   /home/todb/.rvm/rubies/ruby-1.9.1-p378/lib/ruby/1.9.1/uri/common.rb:626:in `parse'
[-]   /home/todb/.rvm/rubies/ruby-1.9.1-p378/lib/ruby/1.9.1/uri/common.rb:724:in `URI'
[-]   /home/todb/git/rapid7/metasploit-framework/lib/msf/core/exploit/http/client.rb:535:in `target_uri'
[-]   /home/todb/.msf4/modules/auxiliary/test_uri.rb:20:in `run'
[*] Auxiliary module execution completed
```

And here's the new, Metasploit-specific one:

```
[-] Invalid URI: "what%ever"
[-] Auxiliary failed: Msf::OptionValidateError The following options failed to validate: URIPATH.
[*] Auxiliary module execution completed
```

The user can now tell easily what's wrong with the module configuration,
and doesn't have to parse through a stack trace that leads down into
the Ruby stdlib.

Tod Beardsley c5ce575543 Revert "Merge pull request #101 from chao-mu/master"
Reverting the OptRegexp commit from chao-mu. Before committing to
master, this option type needs to be tested on the various mainstream
UI's (Metasploit Pro, msfgui, and Armitage) to see if they behave
as reasonably as msfconsole. Each UI tends to handle option setting,
passing, and display in their own special way.

This should make it back in by Wednesday, assuming all goes well.

Pubkeys are now stored as loot, and the Cred model has new and exciting
ways to discover which pubkeys match which privkeys.

commit 036d2eb61500da7e161f50d348a44fbf615f6e17
Author: Tod Beardsley <todb@metasploit.com>
Date:   Sun Jan 8 22:23:32 2012 -0600

    Updates ssh credentials to easily find common keys

    Instead of making the modules do all the work of cross-checking keys,
    this introduces a few new methods to the Cred model to make this more
    universal.

    Also includes the long-overdue workspace() method for credentials.

    So far, nothing actually implements it, but it's nice that it's there
    now.

commit c28430a721fc6272e48329bed902dd5853b4a75a
Author: Tod Beardsley <todb@metasploit.com>
Date:   Sun Jan 8 20:10:40 2012 -0600

    Adding back cross-checking for privkeys.

    Needs to test to see if anything depends on order, but should
    be okay to mark up the privkey proof with this as well.

commit dd3563995d4d3c015173e730eebacf471c671b4f

    Store pubkeys as loot for reuse.

commit 48937728a92b9ae52d0b93cdcd20bb83f15f8803
Author: Tod Beardsley <todb@metasploit.com>
Date:   Sat Jan 7 17:18:33 2012 -0600

    Updates to ssh_identify_pubkeys and friends

    Switches reporting to cred-based rather than note-based, accurately deal
    with DSA keys, adds disable_agent option to other ssh modules, and
    reports successful ssh_login attempts pubkey fingerprints as well.

    This last thing Leads to some double accounting of creds, so I'm not
    super-thrilled, but it sure makes searching for ssh_pubkey types a lot
    easier.... maybe a better solution is to just have a special method for
    the cred model, though.
